DROP CAPS ILLUSTRATION

The goal was to create illustrations of two drop-cap letters with meaningful themes. To unify the illustration, the theme of youth is explored, using an illustrative style and linework. The letter "L" is made from Lego blocks, with a young girl building the structure in her play space. The scattered toys help guide the viewer’s eye along the structure, and the colour palette is inspired by the vibrant hues of Lego blocks.

The letter "K" is formed by shapes of animals and objects, which leans more towards the theme of youth and growth. A ruler and tree symbolize development, while the soft color palette conveys warmth and tenderness. Small details like the shirt of the koala, encourages the audience to explore the illustartion.
